you are listening to Emma radio
12:02
hello my name is Elyn Aura as usual I'm going to narrate a story about prayer
12:09
changes things do you believe that prayer changes things today I'm going to talk
12:16
about a family of Sister Mary sister Mary was blessed with one son she had a
12:23
husband who was a drunkard sister Mary was a staunch Christian when I say stunt I mean she
12:31
was a serious Christian in church she was a prayerful woman she was a prayer
12:36
warrior how many women do you have in the society who are prayer warriors
12:41
how many women in the society who can say God is a God of
12:46
impossibilities how many women believe in prayers sincerely pray this is a story of one woman by the
12:54
name Mary mary had a son whom she taught about
12:59
prayer unfortunately their dad or the the husband was a drunkard and this man
13:05
used to beat Mary she used to beat uh the man used to beat his wife
13:12
mouthlessly but because of the heart that this woman had she continued
13:17
persisting in prayer in prayer in prayer in prayer and she encouraged the son to pray for their their father this man
13:25
used to wake up early in the morning he used to do nothing he could bring nothing to the family the only thing he
13:31
could do he could go out drink drink drink and when she come back in the
13:37
evening the only gift that he could do is to wake up the wife and beat her beat
13:44
her beat her and mlessly beat her the wife was a very able leader in church
13:53
she used to uh lead in many ministries in the church the son was also a very
14:00
good Christian who had hopes that one day one time the God of heaven could
14:05
change them their dad so this man each and every day he could
14:11
come in the evening and uh maybe when uh he used to
14:18
find maybe if by accident or uh by any chance he could find that uh the wife
14:24
had left her money just like that the man could just pick and go and use it to
14:29
drink the beers to to just uh use it in the clubs so the wife lived in a
14:37
miserable life but she was glowing when I say glowing it's because she had that
14:43
grace of God she invited the church elders uh the
14:48
women uh um ministry departments to come and pray for her because of the
14:54
situation that she had and the kind of husband that she had so one day uh this
15:00
man used to pass by the cemeteries on coming back because he used to come back at around midnight so he used to pass by
15:08
the cemeteries because he believed that in the cemeteries he could not find anyone or uh thieves maybe to attack him
15:14
because he believed that people fear passing by the cemeteries so he could pass there each and that was his root so
15:23
one day uh Mary had prayed and the son had prayed they had this one prayer god
15:28
in heaven we pray that one day you could change our daddy you could change my husband that is the prayer of Mary you
15:33
could change my husband to one day be a pastor one day he will seek for you God one day he will leave all his wicked
15:40
ways and he will stop beating me God and he will join us as we fellowship
15:46
together that was the prayer of Mary each and every day despite the fact that this husband used to beat him beat her
15:52
terribly mary persisted in prayer the son prayed and prayed and prayed so one
15:58
day when uh this man was coming back as usual as he was passing in his normal
16:04
route when on it was around 12 uh midnight and then he had two voices in
16:11
the cemetery at the cemetery at the cemetery uh there were two
16:17
voices h and this is what they were saying this is mine this is yours this
16:25
is mine and this is yours so he moved closer he tiptoed and he opened his
16:32
ears long to hear what these two people were conversing this is mine he was like
16:39
"Okay." Of course he was he was drunk but he had to sober up because he could not believe that people could be at the
16:47
cemetery at that particular hour because it was at the cemetery people fear ceilies because they believe
16:53
uh people don't like uh the uh to come closer to dead people so he could not
16:59
believe that there were people around that area he moved closer he moved closer to that
17:06
place this is mine this is yours this is mine this is yours oh my god
17:14
and then he ran as fast as lightning to his
17:20
home then what he just thought because the
17:26
wife has been teaching him about Jesus and Satan because he knows once someone
17:32
once someone dies you you die as a sinner or a
17:37
righteous person or a Christian and when you are buried he has that information
17:43
that when Jesus will come back definitely Satan will pick his wrong
17:48
souls or those who died with sin And Jesus will pick the Russians one or
17:54
those who died as Christians so in his mind he knew that Jesus had come and
18:00
Satan was there so they were dividing souls in the symmetry so he knew that
18:06
uh the voices the two voices this is mine this is yours so he knew that
18:13
definitely Satan was speaking his souls and Jesus was speaking his
18:20
souls so he ran to his home in fact even the the drinks that he
18:28
had taken he had sobered up he ran he knocked his door and he
18:33
forced he forced the wife to pray to lay hands on him he was telling the wife
18:40
please pray for me i want to go to heaven jesus has come back they're dividing
18:45
souls satan is speaking his souls at the cemetery and God is speaking his souls
18:51
at the cemetery truly pray for me i want to be a Christian i want to go to heaven
18:56
i don't want to dare sinner little did he knew that there were two thieves who
19:02
had stolen clothes and because they believed that in the at the cemetery nobody can pass by so they went to the
19:09
cemetery to go and divide those clothes so the two things were dividing the clothes this is mine this is yours this
19:17
is mine this is yours so the man interpreted that uh that is Satan and
19:23
Jesus who were ving souls so because of this this man changed his life and from
19:29
that end he stopped going drinking he started going to church he accompanied
19:34
the family to church this man was nurtured well finally he became a pastor and he became a good man so what do we
19:42
learn from this story this story is teaching us that it is good to persist in prayers as this woman as this Mary a
19:49
prayer warrior who persisted in prayers despite the beatings and this uh
19:56
husband was uh uh doing injustly to this woman the the woman remained faithful to
20:03
pray unto God a God of impossibilities the son also prayed for this dad that
20:08
one day this man changed and became a very big pastor as this is a teaching to
20:15
all of us that we need to pray we need to persist in prayers because God tells us that once
20:21
we pray and we persist in prayers definitely we'll achieve our best and God will help us thank you for listening
20:28
to my story i hope we meet again next time bye-bye
